In Osaka City, a group of 20-year-olds marked the occasion by going to the top of the 300-meter Abeno Harukas under the motto “Let’s Step to Adulthood.”
Over 100 participants wrote down their hopes for the future on a white sash and ascended the 1,637 steps, wearing kimonos or new suits. They made it to the top of the 60-story building in about an hour.
A woman in a long-sleeved kimono said that although the ascent was harder than expected, she and her friends were able to make it by cheering each other on.

1月14日の成人式に、大阪市阿倍野区の日本一高いビル「あべのハルカス」で、60階の展望台まで階段を歩いて上り、成人式（Coming of age Day)を祝うというイベントが行われました。振り袖(long -sleeved kimono)やスーツ姿の新成人104人が、1,637段の“大人の階段”を歩いて上ったという事です。
ビルの運営会社は、「近鉄不動産」。イベントは平成２６年から毎年実施していて、今回で６回目だそうです。
